39 weeks per year (term time plus one week in summer holidays)

The Whitby High School is a highly successful 11-18 foundation school with 1600 students on roll which includes a thriving sixth form. This popular, oversubscribed school places the achievement of all learners as priority and as a result academic standards are high. Governors wish to appoint a member of support staff who is enthusiastic, organised and has a flexible approach to work.
In this fast paced role you will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of the full recruitment process in accordance with safer recruitment procedures. As this is a large part of this role, prior experience of working in a busy recruitment role would be an advantage. You will also be involved in all aspects of HR, providing an initial response to employee relations issues and day to day queries, escalating to the Business Manager as necessary. You will also work as part of the main administration team, providing support to all stakeholders under the supervision of the Office Manager.
To be successful you will:-
- Have working knowledge of staff recruitment processes
- Have experience of working in an HR role, ideally within an education setting
- Be highly organised, with the ability to multi-task and maintain strong attention to detail
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to demonstrate a sensitive approach to confidential matters
- Have excellent IT skills
