The Bridge Short Stay School

Teacher of English (MPS & SEN)

To start September 2021

At The Bridge Short Stay School, we don’t believe a student’s past defines their future, we are looking for an exceptional individual who shares our belief that students who have previously struggled in a mainstream environment can go on to thrive. The ability to teach a second subject is essential, we’d particularly like to hear from anyone who can support the teaching of Science, Humanities or PSHE.

The Bridge caters predominantly for students who have been permanently excluded for a variety of reasons. The successful candidate will be able to see the potential behind the behaviour; they will have the patience and resilience that allows them to offer students a genuine fresh start and the opportunity to achieve.

Our work at the school is challenging but rewarding, staff have positive relationships with students and change lives on a daily basis. This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher who wants to make a difference and can see a child as more than a grade. We are looking for someone who shares our values, believes in our young people and is able to inspire aspiration in them. In return the successful candidate will join a talented and committed team and will be supported to be the best teacher they can be.

For more information about this role please contact the Headteacher on andy.stewart@thebridge.cheshire.sch.uk For more information about the school please visit our website at www.thebridge.cheshire.sch.uk

The Bridge Short Stay School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be sought for the successful candidate in accordance with Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education legislation.

Closing date 12pm Friday 21st May
