The children, staff and Governors of Oldfield Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic class teacher to be part of our team and teach our fantastic Y1 class from 22nd November 2021 to cover a colleague on maternity leave. This is a temporary full-time position until the maternity cover ceases.
Oldfield Primary School is based in the Vicars Cross area of Chester. We have 212 pupils and one class for each age group from EYFS to Y6. Oldfield Primary School is dedicated to developing lifelong learners who contribute to communities and are prepared for their future. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and inspirational. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team, be creative and have a good work ethic. They will have high expectations of their pupils and of themselves together with excellent classroom management skills and the ability to uphold the values and caring ethos of our school. The ability to motivate and inspire all children through high quality teaching is essential.

If shortlisted, through observation (dependent on restrictions), candidates will have the opportunity to showcase their passion for education; share their ability to successfully plan for a class in their own setting or here at Oldfield; deliver an engaging and challenging lesson which moves children forward in their learning; and demonstrate high expectations. Through interview, candidates will demonstrate: a commitment to all aspects of school life; experience teaching a variety of children; effective parent partnerships; and an ability to work collaboratively with all staff.
