Position: Part Time/Casual (after school hours 3.45 to 6.15pm, term time only)

Salary: Depending upon experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at St Martin’s Academy, Chester working within their Wrap Around Care after school club.

St Martin’s Academy is a primary school situated in the heart of Hoole in Chester. The Wrap Around Care facility (WAC) runs from 4pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks per year)

An Assistant Playworker is required to support and enhance the provision already in place. They will be responsible for keeping a daily register up to date, effectively communicating with parents and supervising WAC activities, both indoors and outdoors.  WAC assistants will also help plan daily activities and serve tea.

We are looking for candidates who have experience of and passion for working with children in similar settings. An NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or a similar qualification would be an advantage but not essential. The roles require candidates who are caring, fun loving and real team players who enjoy working with young people and their families.
