The Executive Headteacher and Governors of William Stockton and Wimboldsley Federated Schools are keen to appoint a Learning Mentor to work across both schools. This will be a flexible post between the schools. Days and hours will be determined and confirmed for the successful candidate.
As ‘UNITED WE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE SUCCESS’ is our mission, we would be adding to our Welfare team so this post is to work alongside our existing Learning Mentor with children and families from both schools. They will be expected to engage in a range of multi-agency services to improve outcomes for children in our school communities.
Experience of the ‘Team Around the Family’ and/or ‘Common Assessment Framework’ processes and statutory safeguarding procedures are essential.
An understanding of ‘The New Ways of Working’ is desirable for the candidate.
The post holder will have the capacity to work closely with a range of partner agencies and deliver difficult messages to families in order to bring about real improvements and outcomes. The successful candidate will be highly organised in their management of paperwork and prioritising workload and will report to Governors each term.
We offer a supportive team with our existing Learning Mentor and Senior Leaders, up-to-date training and a support network around safeguarding.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS and thorough safeguarding checks and two references will be required.
