We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and creative Head of Languages to lead the Modern Foreign Languages department at this 11 – 16 high school. The school is on a successful journey of development to secure outstanding outcomes and this is a fantastic opportunity to craft and lead a new and creative route forward for the team to secure positive outcomes.


The objective of the MFL Department is to create an atmosphere in which both students can achieve their own maximum potential in such a way that encourages learning, stimulates a love for languages, achieves success in examinations and fosters a lasting interest in the subject.


Blacon High School prides itself on being relentless in its desire to provide outstanding learning opportunities, and the successful candidate will join a well-established team of highly-motivated practitioners. In our most recent OFSTED in January 2016 we received a Good grading. We are now looking towards improving upon this as we move forward.
