St. Winefride’s Catholic Primary School

The Governors of St. Winefride's Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join the team, starting on Monday 24th February or as soon as possible thereafter. We are looking for an experienced teacher with a proven track record for raising academic standards. This is a temporary position until 31st August 2020.

The successful candidate would:

  • Share the teaching of a Year 2 class with an experienced member of staff for 2/3 days a week, including preparing pupils for KS1 SATs.
  • Work alongside the Year 4 and Year 6 teachers to support pupils and prepare them for KS2 SATs,
  • Deliver the Computing curriculum to Year 4, 5 and 6.

St. Winefride’s is a successful school, judged ‘Good’ at our last inspection in November 2018. The inspector reported that our school is a “…welcoming and caring school where pupils behave well and take pride in their learning…..Pupils are enthused by their learning and told me that, ‘Every day is exciting. You never know what is going to happen’.”
