Create Learning Trust is looking to recruit a Site Maintenance Officer for Sandiway Primary School and a Site Maintenance Officer for Little Leigh Primary School.  Both schools have the same vacancy on offer.  You only need to apply once.  Just indicate in your application which school, or both, you would like to be considered for.

The main duties include (further information included in job description):

  • Undertaking site checks and record keeping
  • Managing the security (including unlocking/locking) and health/safety of the school site
  • Ensuring that cleaning/caretaking duties are undertaken
  • Undertaking some cleaning/waste removal responsibilities
  • Undertake basic maintenance tasks in the school
  • Overseeing the cyclical maintenance in the school
  • Managing the purchase of site consumables (cleaning products, etc)

This is a term-time contract including teacher training days, plus three additional weeks in a year to provide maintenance in holiday times (42 weeks per year). The hours of employment are 22.5 hours a week, worked as split shifts: 7.30am-9.30am and 3.00-5.30pm. This will be offered as a permanent contract but will be subject to a successful probation period. The position will be paid at £9.74 an hour with the actual annual salary of £10,573.44.  A split shift allowance of £1 per day will also be paid.

Closing date for applications will be Monday 13 July.  Interviews for both schools will take place on Thursday 16 July at Little Leigh Primary School.
