Apprentice Teaching Assistant
The Head Teacher and Governors at Hartford Manor Primary School & Nursery are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and well-organised Apprentice Teaching Assistants to join our committed and friendly team.
The posts are for (up to) 37 hours per week working Monday – Friday 8.40am to 3.20pm, 39 weeks. You will be assigned to work with a class teacher or teaching assistant, usually in key stage one. Additional hours may also be available in our popular Breakfast Club (7.30am – 8.40am) and our After School Club until 6pm.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the life of every child they work with, are patient, kind and understanding.
The core purpose of the job is to support the class teacher in ensuring that the school provides high quality, challenging and exciting learning and teaching that leads to successful outcomes for pupils in terms of their overall achievement, attitudes to learning, behaviour and personal development.
The successful candidates will support the safeguarding ethos which is a high priority throughout our school and will be subject to enhanced DBS and reference checks.
Applicants must be able to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with children and adults and be committed to their own development and learning. Training will be provided to the Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprentice Standard; the training programme takes around 18 months to complete. For more information on the training programme click here.

Hourly rate: £4.15 in the first year. You will be paid at least the minimum wage rate for your age if you are aged 19 or over once you have completed your first year.
