1:1 teaching assistant (30 hours, temporary – dependant on funding)
Grade 4 (£18,426 - £19,171 Pro Rata) Term time only

The post is for 30 hours per week working 1:1 with a child starting reception in September 2020.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding 1:1 teaching assistant with high expectations of themselves and our pupils. A good knowledge of English and maths is essential as is a positive attitude, initiative and sense of humour!
The role will be working with a child who has an EHCP and will be starting school in September. Support is primarily required to support physical difficulties such as movement and balance.
The successful candidate will support the child to take part fully in the EYFS curriculum. This may involve, but not be limited to:
- Producing resources to support communication
- Delivering targeted intervention (speech and pronunciation)
- Support the development of the learning environment to provide opportunities to develop literacy and numeracy skills through play
- To prompt and support during transition points in the day or to reengage with a learning task.
- Support with fine and gross motor skill development through a variety of activities
- Support the development of self-care skills which may include supporting with toileting if necessary.
